Layne Smith


Layne Smith is a Nashville-based Singer/Songwriter with four studio albums and a single release to her credit.   Her first recording “Out of Nazareth” was engineered by Dove and Grammy award winning producer Don McCollister in 2011.  The recording featured all original Christian/Gospel songs.  She went on to record her first Nashville recording “Stand Strong” with veteran Nashville guitarist/producer Gene Breeden at the helm with producing at his Nashville studio, again with all original Christian/Gospel songs.  Smith went on to record a Christmas CD “Where is Jesus?” featuring original Christian/Gospel songs and timeless Christmas favorites.   She released an original Country single in 2015 entitled “You Can’t Call It Country” that has been a favorite on all the streaming media channels.  Her latest Nashville recording “Set Me On a Rock” was released in 2016 and was produced by Northwest Western Swing Hall of Fame fiddle player and producer Hyram Posey.   That same year she became a featured performer on the Music City Hayride in Nashville Tennessee.   Layne is proud to be a Century II Records artist and songwriter and is looking forward to her next recording with the label.
